The Ribera Salud Foundation and Pratia sign an agreement to combine their experience in the area of clinical research and boost clinical trials in three of the group’s hospitals

Valencia, 29th of April 2024 – The Ribera Salud Foundation and Pratia today signed a collaboration agreement to combine clinical and research management expertise. This partnership seeks to enhance patient access to innovative therapies across three hospitals within the Ribera group: the University Hospitals of Vinalopó (Elche) and Torrejón (Madrid), as well as the Ribera Povisa Hospital (Vigo) The signing ceremony was attended by the president of the Foundation and CEO of the Ribera group, Elisa Tarazona; the director of the Foundation and head of the group’s Research Department, Mercedes Gozalvo; and the CEO and Country Head of Pratia Spain, Jaime A. Ballester.

This strategic alliance will make it possible to organise clinical trials more effectively and efficiently in the aforementioned hospitals, thanks to the synergy of the best professionals from both entities. The agreement aims to position this alliance as a leading force in research, expand therapeutic choices for patient care and quality of life enhancement, and fortify the resources and scientific capabilities of the healthcare staff involved.

The CEO of the Ribera Group and President of the Foundation, Elisa Tarazona, explained that the agreement with Pratia “will allow us to carry out jointly a greater number of first-line clinical trials with high-level management, from Phase I to Phase IV”. “Medicine is evolving at the speed of light and, thanks to this agreement with Pratia, we are joining forces to be part of this revolution,” she added.

Jaime A. Ballester, as CEO and Country Head, emphasized that clinical trials are a fundamental part of biomedical development, and that the creation of this strategic alliance dedicated to clinical trials will allow a greater number of patients to have access to new treatments, while also reducing time and guaranteeing the quality of the results.

Above all, this model has proven to be a great success in other countries where we operate and we are confident that it will be just as effective in Spain.

Pratia is a network of research centers with more than 90 centers in six countries in Europe. Since 2012, they have energized more than 1,500 clinical trials, enabling access to innovative therapies for patients with different pathologies.
